Maryanne & Tommy Pilling

In July of 1995, Maryanne and Tommy got married, becoming one of the first known married couples with Down syndrome in Europe. The couple is still married today, and remains an example for those who may question the capabilities of people with Down syndrome. Mr. and Mrs. Pilling are ambassadors for Save Down Syndrome.

A couple with Down syndrome has defied all odds. Maryanne and Tommy Pilling have been together for more than two decades, but when they first met, people doubted they would last. Now, 22 years later, the two are still going strong and are just as in love as the day they met.
