New Year, New Goals

Happy New Year from Save Down Syndrome!

We have been restructuring our organization, as well as our website, and so we apologize for our delayed absence. Save Down Syndrome’s blog posts will continue to be posted every Monday and we hope that you’ll continue to follow along.

We are so thrilled to share with you all of our accomplishments from 2019 made possible by our fellow advocates and to share our goals for this new year!

Accomplishments of 2019:

  • Officially approved for 501(c)(3) tax exemption

  • Started podcast (You can follow our Podcast here for updates and new episodes. You can listen to the podcasts on Apple Podcast, Anchor FM, Spodify and several others.)

  • Started SDS Nigeria and have established leaders for more international branches

  • Gained more ambassadors (so our message has spread more into the world by them)

Goals of 2020:

  • Start taking donations so that we can continue to spread awareness through materials and resources.

    • Donations will fund advertisements (not advertising for us as an organization, but advertisements on social media with facts about Down syndrome.)

    • Finance dispersion of educational materials to schools, pediatricians, OBGYN’s, GP’s, hospitals, governments (federal and state), media corporations, and places of work.

    • Create grants and possibly scholarships to assist those with Down syndrome.

    • Finance current and future projects.

  • Establish programs in memory of ambassadors who have passed in recent years.

  • Complete the restructuring of our website.

  • Grow current projects and start new ones.

  • Add to our already growing ambassador members.

As always, we are extremely thankful for your support. It is our mission to help spread as much awareness as possible and we believe that with the help of our ambassadors, board members and followers we are able to do that. We look forward to continuing our mission and working with other Down syndrome organizations around the world in order to do so.
